At Upton Lakes we encourage you to be a part of the place, exchange a few hellos and stories. But, equally, we know when to respect the privacy of those who would rather quietly keep them selves to themselves. 

Some of our visitors are happy to spend their whole stay just relaxing on the lodge deck, taking a plunge in the hot tub, cooking alfresco by the lakeside or snuggling up on a Sunday afternoon to watch a good old black-and-white movie. BUT THEN... drive just a few miles and you could be walking the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, visiting a 13th Century Cathedral City or chasing the hills over Dartmoor... Brilliant! Devon is just so diverse that a week, a fortnight, a lifetime will never be enough.
